GG Flipbooks
For the moments that are often shared — but rarely truly heard.
Photos preserve faces, but who preserves the stories?
GG Flipbooks turn your family’s real photos
into animated storybooks children will actually watch.
You probably have photos like these.
To you, a photograph may represent an entire life story.
To a child seeing it for the first time…
it may simply look like an old picture of someone they never met.
Most families save the photos.
Most families have boxes of photographs.
Old stories told at reunions.
Pictures hanging on the wall.
Photo Albums
But something important happens over time.
Without the story, the memory slowly disappears.
Children look at the pictures …
and they don’t know the story behind them.
WHO IS THAT PERSON?
WHAT DID THEY DO?
WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT?
The moment that inspired GG Flipbooks
One day I showed my grandchildren a photograph of their great-grandfather.
To me, the photo held a lifetime of memories.
His journey.
His struggles.
The life he built for his family.
But to them…
it was simply a picture of someone they had never met.
That moment made me realise something important.
Children connect with stories very differently today.
Connecting children with the people and stories behind their family.
So I tried something different
Instead of just telling the story…
I turned the photographs into a simple animated flipbook.
The pictures became illustrations.
The memories became narration.
And suddenly the children were watching with curiosity.

Turning real moments into storybook pages
Real photos, memories and voices - presented in a form made for children.
A voice they can return to, again and again.
Each book is shaped around real moments.
A story children can watch and hear again and again.
Many families choose to narrate the story in their own voice.
Narrated by Pa's daughter
Made for story time
Children can watch the story, hear the narration, or enjoy it together as a book.
What this is
These are personalised family storybooks created from real photos and memories — shaped in a way that helps children connect with the people behind their family.
Rather than simply showing images, each book gently introduces who someone was, how they fit into the family, and why they matter — in a form children can engage with and return to.
“Each book is created individually, not from templates.”
“Every story is handled with care and attention.”
“This is a small, personal project — not mass-produced.”
Who is this for?
This is for families who care deeply about the people in their story — and want children to truly know them, not just hear about them.
It’s especially meaningful when stories have been told many times, yet children struggle to connect or remember.
You don’t need a “big story” — just someone you want a child to remember.
These books are often created by:
- Grandparents who want their grandchildren to really know them
- Parents who want their children to understand who’s part of their family.
- Families who want children to understand their heritage and where they come from.
- Families who want children to see shared traits — interests, talents, or passions passed down.
- Aunts, uncles, or cousins who want to preserve a person’s place in the family.
- Families who live far apart and don’t see each other often.
- Families marking a reunion, milestone, or remembrance
